There’s no place like Yellow Brick Road when it comes to pancakes. They’ve got it all, from sweet to savoury, including classic options, sticky-sweet selections, and really savoury ones that you never thought would work on a pancake.

Try something new that tastes like Malaysia. The Onde-onde Pancake brings a tropical twist to this classic breakfast food, made with fluffy pandan pancakes topped with gula melaka coconut whip, shredded coconut, caramelised banana, and coconut ice cream.

If you want to skip the sweet options, the Pulled Beef Paco is a safe bet. It’s pancakes bent like tacos, filled with pulled beef, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, kale, Thai mayo, cheese, and parsley—savoury but not overwhelmingly so!

This Muslim-friendly gem cooks up soft and airy pancakes, which are elevated by the toppings. Want to know our rec? The Tiramisu Pancake is a decadent treat with a smooth texture, best paired with an Iced Classic Pearl Milk Tea.

These bouncy cakes also taste really good with fruits. The Summer Mango Pancake is deliciously fresh, served with mango puree and mango cubes. We prefer adding vanilla ice cream on the side for a nice melty contrast to the texture.

The souffle pancakes are made fresh with every order, and it can take a while to cook. Avoid queuing by visiting during non-peak hours on weekdays.

There’s no need to travel to Japan when craving souffle pancakes. Neighbours Coffee in KL offers these deliciously light and fluffy bites of heaven.

The Original Fuwa Fuwa Pancake is a solid option for simple yet cloudy bites, since it only comes with nama cream and syrup—a classic that’s not overly sweet. Pair it with a flat white to complement the flavours.

You can’t go wrong with one of our favourite creamy flavours with bitter notes: the Matcha Black Sesame Pancake. It’s served with azuki on top, matcha nama cream, almond, and homemade syrup.

One of our favourite haunts in Petaling Jaya, Breizh KL, doesn’t know how to make boring food. This creperie specialises in sweet and savoury flat pancakes made from premium flour from France, from your classic crepe to one served with salmon on top!

The Classic Crepe with butter, sugar, and lemon is always a good idea. But we recommend you level it up by ordering the No. 24 Tiramisu Crepe, their new take on the Italian dessert, which is made into a log filled with chilled espresso mascarpone.

Another personal favourite is the No. 6 Jamon, a savoury treat of crispy buckwheat crepe served with jamon, emmental cheese, sundried tomatoes, caramelised onion, and a sunny side up.

Pro Tip:

Pair your sweet crepe with their Breizh Coffee to balance out the sugary taste. You can go for a Tropic Quencher, made with soda, mango, passionfruit, and dried pineapple, to complement your savoury pancake.

The serene atmosphere of this Japanese-inspired spot in Klang Valley makes it a perfect place for me-time or quick catching up with friends. The ambience is just the cherry on top, because the pancakes are on the centre stage!

It’s still new, being only 2 years old, but it has gained loyal customers for its coffee and pancakes that are almost as big as a plate. The Classic with Butter, poured with gula melaka syrup, is your traditional hotcake with a Malaysian spin.

For something savoury that will keep you full for breakfast, the Morning Sunshine has two layers of mini pancakes with butter, served with chicken sausage, sunny side up, hashbrown, fruits, and cherry tomatoes. Pair it with a hot cup of matcha latte!

Pro Tip:

They offer a seasonal menu and special collaborations with other brands. Check out their Instagram page for updates, and you might get to try their version of a pandan pancake!

The visually appealing design of Fluffed Cafe & Dessert Bar is one of the reasons we love coming here. Okay, we’re technically cheating because they make waffles, but they’re made from the same ingredients and they’re thicker!

The soft and fluffy cloudcakes are deliciously topped with generous garnishes. Pooh Bear’s Favourite is a hit with the crowd, which comes with hokeypokey ice cream, peanut praline, fruits, and is drizzled with salted caramel.

Another fave? The Deconstructed Tiramisu is a fresh take on this coffee dessert. The waffle is topped with a yummy and velvety mascarpone cream and dusted generously with cocoa powder, while the coffee ice cream is covered with espresso sauce.

Pro Tip:

Don’t forget to follow their Instagram page to see updates on new flavours. Some are exclusive per location, while others are available in all locations during the holiday season.
