5 Pet Stores in Johor Bahru That Has Everything You May Need
If you’re a pet owner, you’ll recognise the importance of having a nearby store where you can easily stock up on supplies for your best pals at home. Fortunately, Johor Bahru isn’t just home to some of the best aquarium shops (aquarium shops in JB) but pet shops in general as well!
Since adopting our dog earlier this year, I’ve been searching for the best shops in JB where I could resupply food, accessories, shampoos and more. Needless to say, I was impressed to see just how many options I had within a few miles of my home!
So to help you get started on your pet supplies and maybe even adopt a new member to your family, I’ve listed some of my favourite pet shops to visit in JB. I’ve also included what they do best and what they could improve to help you choose the best one for you!
How much do pet shop products cost in Johor Bahru?
Pet shop products in Johor Bahru can cost anywhere from RM1.90 to RM300 or even more. This depends on the product itself, whether you’re shopping for food, accessories or the animals themselves.
1. Dhani Pet Store

As soon as we entered Dhani Pet Store, we were immediately impressed with how neat and organised its shelves were. Plus, it didn’t have that distinct smell that lets you know you’re in a pet store but instead features a refreshing scent.
We also want to commend them for always being approachable and knowledgeable. Their expertise shows whenever they recommend a product to us based on our needs.
Our favourite thing, though, is their regular promotions. For instance, they hold a year-end sale where most of their products are slashed by 10% or even more!
However, we do wish that they would feature more products outside of cat-related goods, as we felt like their selection is a bit limited. We were also disappointed to see that they don’t actually sell pets.

Rania Distributor is among the best when it comes to cat essentials because of its great selection. From shampoo to food, treats and more, this store has them all while offering various brands.
We were impressed to see names that you wouldn’t typically find in regular pet shops. A great example of this is La Mito, which is a premium adult cat food that’s soy-free and features no additional sugars.
It may seem like it’s hard to get around the store’s catalogue but thanks to the staff members organising everything, it’s easy to find what you need inside. These staff members are also knowledgeable about these products and we’ve seen first-hand how they can assist customers.
As impressed as we are with its selection, we still feel like it’s limited since they’re only geared towards cats and cat owners. Furthermore, they don’t sell pets themselves and only feature goods.

Memo Koice Pet features one of the most impressive selections of products we’ve seen in any pet store in Johor Bahru. They can cater to different types of pets from cats to dogs, hamsters, reptiles and more.
Pet owners can stock up on different types of food pellets for their pets and choose from various well-known brands. Furthermore, the store also offers different cages, toys, accessories and other pet essentials.
The best part about shopping here is that you can interact with their various resident pets while browsing the shelves. They’re super friendly and adorable—plus, they make going back to this store all the more worthwhile!
Our only gripe is that they don’t have an official website. They’re active on Facebook, though, which is still useful for customers.

Petoni Adda Height sets itself apart because of its additional grooming and pet boarding services, making it a one-stop shop.
We were impressed with how their staff members work with different breeds of dogs and cats for their grooming services. Previous clients also noted how comfortable their pets were during the entire process, which is a testament to the groomer’s skill and experience.
We also thought that their boarding service was neat, as the prices were reasonable considering the quality of the space they provided.
Lastly, we want to highlight the variety of pet products they offer, as they carry everything from food to toys, accessories, cages, shampoos and more. They also feature different brands to cater to different budgets.
The only downside is that the store’s online channels can be unresponsive, which is disappointing in this day and age.

When it comes to exotic pets, Mystique Creatures offers the best collection in Johor Bahru. It’s home to tons of unusual but sweet pets that collectors will love from snakes to lizards, frogs, turtles and more.
It’s also impressive how they’re continuously expanding their collection. This is why you’ll find their official Facebook page helpful if you’re wondering what they currently have in stock.
Aside from the animals, they also offer a nice range of essentials, from specialised cages and tanks to food pellets, supplements and more.
You’ll also get to learn more about the animals through the store’s knowledgeable staff. They do a great job of explaining things like the preferred living conditions of these animals as well as their behaviours.
Just don’t expect things from the run-of-the-mill pet store here since they mainly cater to reptiles.
