1. JoyKids International Preschool

Website: http://www.joykids.my/
Address: The Club @ Bukit Utama, 1 Club Drive, Bukit Utama
Contact: 03 7728 9955 / [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
JoyKids International Preschool shines by combining the Montessori method with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, which provides a wonderfully globally-minded foundation right from the start.
They deliberately cap regular classes at just 10 students, ensuring every child receives plenty of focused attention. If you eventually plan to move your child to an international school, this global foundation is a perfect stepping stone.
They even offer a seamless transition to primary education through a strategic partnership with GrowBright International School.
Their facilities deserve a spotlight, as they’ve got it all covered, including swimming pools, tennis courts, and indoor and outdoor playgrounds.
However, they do hand out light homework to older kids, which might annoy parents wanting a purely play-based environment. It’s also unfortunate that they currently can’t accommodate children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on-site.
A high-quality experience with dedicated teachers
Joykids International Preschool does live up to its expectations. The teachers are dedicated and nice. There are many school events to look forward to, including after school activities to keep the children moving and learning. Overall, a great experience here and highly recommend to parents that are looking for a high quality preschool education for their children.

2. Strawberry Wonderland Learning Centre

Website: http://www.strawberry.com.my/
Address: No. 51, Jalan 1/1A, Taman Prima Saujana, Seksyen 1
Contact: 017-8765 600 / [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Saturday, 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Strawberry Wonderland Learning Centre runs a custom learning program that gives nursery and preschool kids a well-rounded academic foundation.
They mix the Malaysian Education Ministry’s guidelines, known as the Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR), with global teaching styles like the Montessori approach.
Beyond standard academics, they offer fantastic enrichment classes focusing on creative arts and cooking to help kids discover new talents.
They also pay close attention to health and physical well-being. They install clinical microscopic air purifiers in classrooms and use professionally certified lighting to protect children’s eyesight.
They even offer half-day Saturday options, which is a massive help for weekend shift workers.
Unfortunately, their weekday full-day program wraps up right at 5:30 PM. This early closing time can be a serious hurdle if you regularly work late and need extended evening care.
The best decision for confidence and fun learning
Sending my daughter, Farisya, to Strawberry Wonderland Learning Centre has been one of the best decisions we’ve made! The teachers are incredibly patient, nurturing, and highly dedicated to the kids’ growth. Farisya has improved so much in her confidence, social skills, and early reading. I love that their curriculum blends academic preparation for primary school with fun, hands-on activities, so she actually looks forward to going every single morning! The center is also very clean, secure, and has a wonderful, positive energy. Highly recommended to any parent looking for a great start for their little ones!

3. Small Wonder Preschool

Address: Lot 32, Eco Ardence, PT8, Persiaran Setia Alam
Contact: 17 230 9130 / [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Small Wonder Preschool Eco Ardence gives students access to dynamic learning spaces. They’re built inside the trendy Ardence Lab community hub and feature highly unique classroom spaces, including a young chef studio for hands-on culinary learning.
Instead of traditional rote memorisation, they rely on a fun project-based approach where kids explore topics they’re naturally curious about.
They also run a strong trilingual program to give students a serious head start in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.
You can even choose between flexible half-day and full-day schedules, providing plenty of accessibility for every parent.
The main downside is that this specific Selangor branch only accepts children aged 4 to 6 years old, unlike their other locations that welcome 3-year-olds. If you have a younger toddler, you’ll need to look elsewhere.
From tears to cheers: a beautiful start to learning
We are extremely grateful for this preschool. Although she only spent one year here, it has been one of the most meaningful and positive experiences in her early childhood.
our daughter has grown so much emotionally and academically. She used to cry going to school, but after joining here, she became happy, confident, and excited to learn every day.
The teachers are caring, patient, and truly dedicated. We can see how much love and effort they put into the children. Thank you for giving our daughter such beautiful memories and a wonderful start to her learning journey. Highly recommended

A perfect balance of academics and sensory fun
My son absolutely loves all the lessons guided by the teachers at this school. All the teachers have been incredibly helpful and supportive in guiding my son throughout his time there. I often notice him coming home and happily imitating what his teachers do, which shows how positively he responds to their teaching.
What I appreciate most is the balance between academic and sensory activities. I believe this well-rounded approach is so important in early childhood development. I’m grateful to have found a preschool that truly cares and nurtures every child’s growth.

4. San Lorenzo Montessori

Website: https://sanlorenzocyberjaya.edu.my/
Address: 4805-0-3A & 05 CBD Perdana 2, Jalan Perdana, Cyber 12, Cyberjaya
Contact: 12 624 2181
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
San Lorenzo Montessori Cyberjaya goes beyond standard Montessori teaching by integrating a unique life skills program designed to boost coordinated thinking.
This curriculum is paired with a specific primary one bridging syllabus for their older students, removing the usual shock of primary school expectations.
Plus, they strictly follow the KSPK (Kurikulum Standard Prasekolah Kebangsaan) National Preschool Standard Curriculum. This ensures that students can enjoy a holistic approach without academic pressures.
Their focus on innovative problem-solving rather than just basic reading is truly refreshing. One example is how they create customised, individualised lesson plans every week to keep kids appropriately challenged.
Just keep in mind that they shut their doors on weekends. If you work Saturday shifts, this schedule simply can’t accommodate you.
Warm, welcoming, and loved by both our kids!
We’ve had a very positive experience with San Lorenzo. The teachers are warm, approachable, and attentive to each child’s needs. The learning activities are engaging and age-appropriate, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and social skills. Our eldest went to this preschool and till now still longing to return . Our youngest now, also currently attending this preschool, looks forward to school daily, which speaks volumes. We appreciate the consistent communication and the safe, welcoming environment provided. Highly recommended for parents looking for quality early childhood education.
A big shoutout to teacher Chloe and her team! You are all the best !

Steady academic focus without the pressure to compete
This preschool has a strong focus on academics and preparing children for primary school. My son just enrolled here for 1 year when he is 6 years old and can see steady improvement compared to his previous preschool. They prioritise learning and foundational skills rather than competitions like singing or drama in other preschools , which can sometimes distract from their day to day academic lesson and make kids stress to do well in competitions.
What I like most is the school does not encourage competition among children like who is the winner and who is the best student.

5. Lighthouse Preschool

Website: https://www.lighthousepreschool.my/
Address: C-1-3A, Centum Oasis Corporate Park, Oasis Damansara, Jalan PJU 1A/2, Ara Damansara
Contact: 12 879 7227 / [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
We like Lighthouse Preschool because they offer a bilingual Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) inspired curriculum that prioritises play-based learning. They focus on individual growth, rather than a rigid framework.
We also like how they stick to small class sizes. This intimate setting ensures a low teacher-to-child ratio, allowing for incredible one-on-one attention and personalised guidance throughout the day.
Their flexible full-day program integrates hands-on learning with six rotating extracurricular classes, including Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM), football, and cookery.
We appreciate that they offer a one-month paid trial with no lock-in commitment. This allows parents to see exactly how their child handles the new environment and nap routines before fully enrolling.
They do have a few scheduling limitations, though. Their toddler playgroup is strictly limited to Wednesdays for just an hour and a half. Also, they don’t offer any weekend childcare.
He never wants to leave! Fantastic bilingual curriculum
My son has been in Lighthouse for one term and he’s already loving his pre-school. So much so that it’s a struggle to get him to go home after school is over everyday.
I love that Lighthouse comprises of a whole bunch of trustworthy, fantastic educators. I find that the teachers there are all individuals who are passionate, fun and always know exactly how to engage with our Children. Lighthouse Preschool’s comprehensive and effective curriculum, particularly being bi-lingual, I believe, will build the core foundation needed for my son to excel in his Primary school years later on.
