5 Best Pet Grooming Salons in Malaysia for Calm, Low-Stress Visits
Bathing a nervous dog in your own bathroom usually ends with soaked floors, a clogged drain and an animal hiding under the sofa.
Handing the job to a groomer who knows how to hold the clippers without spooking your pet saves everyone a headache.
That’s why I compared salons across the Klang Valley on how they handle anxious pets, species specialisation, skin treatments and package clarity.
Here are the best pet grooming salons in Malaysia, along with who each one suits.
How much does pet grooming cost in Malaysia?
Pet grooming in the Klang Valley costs from RM 35 for a small dog’s basic wash to RM 308 for a long-haired cat’s full haircut, before spa add-ons or de-matting fees.

1. Season Pets House
Website: https://www.seasonpetshouse.com/
Address: 93, Jalan Metro Perdana Barat 1, Taman Usahawan Kepong
Contact: +60 10 392 3310
Hours: Monday–Sunday: 10:00 AM–9:00 PM
Rushing a puppy or an older dog through a noisy dryer can make every future salon visit a battle. Season Pets House has washed and styled pets in Kepong since 2012, pacing every session to match how your animal reacts on the table.
That slower rhythm pays off if you own a skittish rescue or a young dog booking a puppy introduction session.
When I spoke to their staff about bringing in a nervous senior terrier, they explained how they break up the blow-dry and brush-out so the dog never panics.
You can also add an Ayurveda herbal spa bath to soothe itchy skin while your pet gets its nails filed and ears cleaned.
The catch is that you must book ahead on WhatsApp. Their feline menu also covers baths only, without haircuts.

Most cats freeze up the moment they hear a dog barking from the next grooming table.
Maobulous Cat Boutique Hotel & Spa solves that problem with a feline-only space in Subang Jaya, designed to keep stress low from the moment you unzip the carrier.
Because the staff only handle kittens and adult cats, they know how to tackle greasy stud tails and heavy shedding without forcing the animal.
Groomers who focus entirely on feline body language save your cat a lot of anxiety, too.
If your long-haired Persian struggles with heat or hairballs, you can book a Lion Cut or a degreasing treatment alongside their standard bath and eye cleaning.
Even so, they don’t accept aggressive cats. Walk-in slots also depend on daily availability.

3. 88 Pets Mart
Website: https://www.88petsmart.com/
Address: 20, Jalan PJU 1/3d, Sunway Mas Commercial Centre, Petaling Jaya
Contact: +60 3 7805 4479
Hours: Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM–7:00 PM; Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM
Driving to three shops on a Saturday just to wash your dog, clip your rabbit’s nails and buy kibble eats up your weekend. 88 Pets Mart solves that by putting pet grooming, retail and boarding under one roof in Petaling Jaya.
They’ve operated for nearly four decades. Their team also earned certifications from the Malaysian Groomers Association (MGA) in 2022, so you can hand over different species with peace of mind.
Before turning on a clipper, the groomer sits down with you to discuss your pet’s coat condition and recommends a custom wash, haircut or teeth cleaning plan.
On the flip side, sharing the booking calendar with rabbits and small pets means dog and cat owners sometimes compete for grooming slots.

4. Letoro Grooming

Contact: +60 3 2385 6069

Bad breath on a dog usually points to plaque build-up that a quick toothbrush pass at home can’t shift.
Letoro Grooming in Happy Garden pairs a low-stress salon setup with dental scaling, spa baths and full coat care, so you can sort out hygiene and styling in one visit.
Their groomers handle dogs of all ages, cats and small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs, so a mixed household can book everyone in one place.
The room also stays quiet enough that skittish animals settle down quickly.
A friend of mine took her older beagle here for a wash and dental scaling, and she noticed the dog walked out relaxed instead of panting at the door.
Boarding under the same roof also helps if you travel often and want your pet staying somewhere familiar.
Keep in mind that Letoro runs multiple branches, which can mix up bookings if you’re not careful.
This Happy Garden shop is also a long drive for clients on the eastern side of Malaysia.

5. UniPets Grooming & SPA
Website: https://www.unipets.org/
Address: 82-1, The Earth Bukit Jalil, Jalan Jalil 1, Lebuhraya Puchong-Sg Besi, Bukit Jalil
Contact: +60 19 630 0788
Hours: Monday–Sunday: 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
Picking up a freshly washed dog only to find them scratching two days later is frustrating when you don’t know what caused it.
At UniPets Grooming & SPA in Bukit Jalil, the team checks your pet’s skin and coat during the session and gives you direct feedback on allergies, dryness or stubborn odours at pickup.
That tells you when a trip to one of the best vet clinics in Malaysia is worth making.
They back that advice with four targeted spa baths, including Dead Sea mineral mud and hyaluronic acid treatments.
Basic sessions still cover the thorough, messy work, from expressing dog anal glands to shaving paw pads and sanitary areas with your consent.
On the styling side, options include Asian Fusion and Full Hand Scissors.
That said, full fur cuts are locked behind the full grooming package. The attached pet hotel activity might also bother easily overwhelmed animals.
