5 Pet Cremation Services in Malaysia for a Pawsitive Farewell

Experience and reputation: The first thing we considered was the crematory’s years of experience and track record.

Services: Next, we checked if they offered a variety of services from communal and private cremations to memorials and more.

Ethical practices: We also considered their ethical practices, from how they handle their clients’ pets to how well they maintain their facilities and more.

Accessibility: Next, we considered how accessible they were based on their responsiveness, location and operating hours.

Value for money: Of course, we also had to check if they were offering their services at reasonable prices.

Pets in Peace is a well-known funeral and cremation provider in Selangor, garnering tons of praise online. More specifically, they’re widely praised by their previous clients because their staff members are notably compassionate and sensitive, which is an instant A+ in our books.

One of the things they showcase their compassion is by offering activities for kids to keep them preoccupied during these dreadful times. These activities included writing farewell messages and painting clay moulds of their pets’ paws, which we thought were pretty neat.

As for the cremation process itself, they make it feel seamless as much as possible by being prompt to every request and inquiry.

However, we do wish that they could create an official website as opposed to just providing a Facebook page. Granted that the page is constantly updated, it lacks the accessibility of seeing what they have to offer before even picking up the phone.

Pros

  • Compassionate and sensitive staff members
  • Reasonable rates
  • Responsive
  • Offers activities for kids

Cons

  • Lack of an official website

Seamless cremation process

“Pet in Peace provided exceptional care, from promptly answering my messages to arriving on time to pick up my beloved dog, Laura.

They lovingly cleaned and prepared her for the religious procession, ensuring a dignified farewell and a seamless cremation process—worth every penny and highly recommended for anyone in need”

– Kevin Wong, Google Review

Prompt and professional

“Pets in Peace was not only prompt and professional but also incredibly sensitive to our needs during a difficult time. The sudden loss of our beloved 3-year-old puppy was overwhelming, especially when it came to helping my two young daughters cope with their emotions.

I was relieved to see that Pets in Peace had various activities for kids, such as colouring the paws on the clay mould and writing a short farewell message that could be framed.

These activities not only kept my daughters occupied but also created beautiful memories that we will cherish forever. Thank you for your care and support during this challenging time.“

PiePie Pet Memorial was recommended to us by a friend after they held a beautiful farewell ceremony for their senior dog who recently crossed the rainbow bridge. Their term farewell ceremony immediately caught our attention so we had to take a closer look.

To our surprise, this ceremony isn’t your typical funeral service, as they’re more like packages that come packed with various inclusions. These ceremonies include nose print cards, paw print cards, photos with frames, fresh flowers, memory photos and videos and more.

As for the cremation service, they offer the opportunity to witness the process itself as well as the convenience of getting the urn on the same day. What caught our attention the most, however, is their inclusion of pet loss grief support.

The only downside here is the slightly pricier rates, leaving mass cremation to be the most affordable option. However, if you consider the inclusions with each farewell ceremony, you could argue that it’s great value for money.

Pros

  • Offers various in-depth farewell ceremonies
  • Offers pet loss grief support
  • Professional and compassionate pet funeral directors
  • Accessible location

Cons

  • Slightly pricey rates

Amazing care and support

“I’m so thankful for the amazing care and support we received during such a tough time. They were super responsive, even late at night and early in the morning, helping us plan a beautiful memorial for our beloved dog.

Their kindness and warmth meant so much to us. What really stood out was how they checked in two weeks later to see how we were doing. The care they showed made all the difference, and I’d recommend them to anyone going through a loss.”

– Saie Brindha Kntayya, Google Review

Professional, patient and caring

“I recently used Piepie Pet Memorial Service to honour the memory of my beloved dog that had a sudden death and I couldn’t have asked for a more compassionate and thoughtful experience.

From the very first contact, the team was incredibly understanding and sensitive to our needs. The memorial service itself was beautiful. The setting was peaceful and serene, providing the perfect backdrop for saying our goodbyes.

Every detail was handled with care and thoughtfulness. You will be updated from time to time.

After the service, they continued to offer support, providing resources for coping with the loss and even checking in to see how we were doing. Their kindness and professionalism made a world of difference to us during this time.

I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to honour their pet in a meaningful and respectful way. They went above and beyond to ensure that my dog was remembered in the best possible light, and we are forever grateful for their care and compassion.”

My Pet Funeral has overwhelmingly positive reviews online and we’re not surprised because of their affordable rates and in-depth services. For instance, for less than RM700, they offer a cremation service consisting of a farewell service and sea scattering.

Speaking of their farewell service, we love how they offer beautifully decorated rooms for their clients, as it provides a proper send-off for their passed loved ones. They even offer a cute video memorial that allows clients to immortalize their best moments with their fur babies.

Moreover, we also appreciate how they offer mass cremation for those looking for a more affordable option.

One thing we wish they’d do is put more in-depth descriptions of their services on their website to give potential clients an idea of what their packages entail. However, they do make up for this by taking the time to explain each of them when you call their line, which is highly responsive.

Pros

  • Accessible operating hours
  • Beautiful memorial rooms
  • Offers both private and mass cremation
  • Offers memorial videos

Cons

  • Vague description of services on their website

The service was really professional

“The response to messages was super fast, and the service was really professional. We were able to say goodbye to our pets properly, and they also helped us with video editing. I’m really grateful.

Thank you to the team. Highly recommended.”

Ideal go-to for a special send-off

“In difficult times of loss, Mr  Koay and his team are the ideal go-to for a special send-off for your loved ones. They will explain carefully all the details of the various packages and will not rush you into a decision. Recommended.”

Website

We’ve heard of Leo’s Pets Cremation through word of mouth, more particularly about its touching story. The company was named after the founder’s late pet and through that experience, they’ve made a goal to help out those who are going through the same thing.

This story isn’t just a tearjerker but it’s also a testament to how they relate to how losing a pet feels like losing a loved one. For instance, during the ceremony, they’ll give more than ample time for the pawrents to spend time with the body of their pets, which we appreciate.

Moreover, we appreciate how the service itself is packed with inclusions like the standard urn, flower arrangements, ritual prayer, blanket and death certificate. They also offer clients the choice to have their pet’s ashes scattered in a potted plant so that it can grow into another life.

The only thing we didn’t like about Leo’s Pet Cremation is that some services are locked behind a paywall like sea scattering. However, we must say that the standard package is already a bang for your buck option and these additional services are great for those with extra budget.

Pros

  • In-depth description of services posted on their website
  • Reasonable cremation prices
  • Offers columbarium storage services
  • Responsive

Cons

  • Some additional services aren’t included in the standard package

Patient and understanding

“Thank you so much to Leo’s Pet Cremation for being so patient and understanding with us. The service was very good and satisfactory, and the prices were also very reasonable.

We’ve chosen this place because our dog’s name is also Leo. We could feel the sincerity as they guided us throughout the whole praying and cremation process. Even though it was on very short notice, we’re glad that the process was smooth and straightforward.”

– Chuah Kwai Pin, Google Review

Good and professional services

“We would like to thank you and your team for handling my baby girl Maya well and with compassion. Accommodating the last-minute call, on a Sunday I thank you. Leo’s Pets rates are very reasonable plus good and professional services.”

Due to its straightforward name, we had to take a closer look at Pet Memorial Services, and boy were we glad we did! For starters, we appreciate how they explain in detail how each of their cremation packages works and all their inclusions.

Speaking of, the inclusions for each package are great, featuring things like photo frames, flower arrangements, a white porcelain urn, video presentation and more. Meanwhile, if you want to save money, they also offer mass cremations.

During our interviews with their previous clients, one outstanding feature we noticed about Pet Memorial Service is their responsive customer service. One customer praised them for answering their line late at night and was able to get a schedule the very next day.

The only thing we’d change about this company is its slightly above-average price range, as it can throw off some potential clients at first glance. If they could take the time to see what’s included with each package, however, we think they’ll find these prices reasonable.

Pros

  • Highly responsive channel
  • Professional staff and service
  • Complete packages

Cons

  • Slightly above-average rates

Thank you for your service

“Farewell to my beloved Thumpey rabbit. Thank you for bringing joy, love and happiness all these years. You are much loved and will be missed forever in our hearts and minds till we meet you again in heaven.

Pet memorial service came to our house to pick up Thumpey for cremation. Send photos of the cremation and will return his ashes to us. Thank you for your service.”

Responded promptly

“My family’s pet dog passed away on the evening of January 11, 2024. Initially, my parents considered burying it in our garden, but due to rainy days, we couldn’t proceed. Fortunately, a pet-loving relative recommended Pet Memorial Services.

I texted them late at night the next day, and their emergency department responded promptly. Ms. Wong, who handled the call, was patient in arranging the necessary details.

The following morning at 10 a.m., Pet Memorial personnel in professional attire arrived at my parents’ house to take our pet’s body for cremation. We were assured our beloved pet would be in good hands. The cremation process was well-documented and promptly shared with us.

Today, on January 13, Pet Memorial personnel delivered our pet’s remains in an urn to my parents’ home. We are grateful to have bid farewell to our pet in a dignified manner, as he contributed significantly to our family and was cherished by everyone at home.

Pet Memorial’s professional service, combined with warm courtesy, has brought comfort to each family member. I deeply appreciate their excellent service. Thank you.”
