Fetch Me Later Pet Resort immediately caught our attention due to its pet-finding service—think Grab, but for pets. It’s a handy pick-up and drop-off service for owners who want to get their babies groomed or boarded without having to leave the house.
We also appreciate how they offer services beyond boarding, such as grooming, daycare, and training.
We decided to reach out to their regulars to hear their thoughts first-hand, and we heard nothing but praise! For starters, they highlighted the excellent communication skills of their team members, noting that they provided multiple updates throughout the day.
They also told us that the overall vibe of the pet boarding hotel feels like a resort for their furbabies, as opposed to the typical shelter. This was due to the fun colours of the interior, spacious rooms and play areas, and the variety of available toys.
The only downside here is the above-average prices, but we believe they’re reasonable considering the quality of care they offer.

Speaking of being playful, Fluffy Family also arranges field trips to parks to give their guests much-needed exercise and playtime during the day. This certainly makes up for the lack of an outdoor play area in the boarding hotel.
The place itself is well-maintained and designed beautifully to look like a classy hotel rather than a plain kennel. Their sleeping quarters aren’t caged as well, which is such a good feature.
Overall, while it’s not that spacious, it still features a mini-playground set—plus, their team always gives the guests walkies!

“I sent my 9-year-old dog – Sammy – to Tara during the CNY holidays for 9 days. She updated me daily on his activities during those updates. You can clearly see that attention was really showered on the dogs at Tara’s place.
Her boarding facility is the second storey of a shophouse that is fully air-conditioned and open, so the dogs were playing and wandering throughout the day. The facility was clean and colourful, which tells me Tara put a lot of thought into how she wanted her hotel to be.
Fun and Safe for Pets. I was told that there were four staff members manning the hotel, and two would stay with the dogs overnight to ensure their safety and also play with them.

We discovered VP PAW BUDDIES CARE while scrolling on TikTok, and we were immediately captivated by the personality of one of the carers. We felt his passion through the screen as he walked and took care of his guests at that moment.
As expected, their previous clients also shared during our interview that they felt confident with the hotel’s staff members due to their personable and caring personalities. Some fur parents even told us that their pets didn’t want to leave after spending time with their carer.
We also like the hotel’s overall cosy vibe since it’s located inside a home. Furthermore, it features a separate and spacious play area outside so that the sleeping quarters don’t develop a foul smell.
Our interviewees also highlighted how their furbabies went home smelling fresh, which meant that they were given a quick bath before being returned, which is such a green flag.
The only downside here is the slightly inconvenient location, as it’s not near any bus stop, which means you’ll have to make the trip intentionally.

We passed by URBAN PETZ during our trip to Penang, and I remember thinking how premium it looked for a pet boarding hotel. Turns out, I was right because, for starters, they offer 24/7 air-conditioning for their feline guests!
A relative of ours who has five cats under her name recently boarded them here, and she was impressed with the place’s 24/7 air purification system. She also highlighted the level of care that the staff members provided her babies, noting their gentleness and kindness.
We also sat down with their regulars, and they noted that the caregivers knew their way around cats, from their moody behaviours to their eating habits, etc.
Another thing we love about this place is its convenient location, as it’s near the Penang International Airport. This way, you can make a quick drop-off at the hotel before going to your flight.
Unfortunately, URBAN PETZ only caters to cats, but for good reason! They found that cats were stressed when kept with dogs, so they decided to give the felines a chance to relax on their own.

“Amazing grooming experience. The owner, I believe his name is Derek, took the time to let my cats relax first before starting the grooming procedure. My male ragdolls have stud tail issues. One grooming session can literally settle it all and make their fur incredibly soft.

Moggy & Doggy Pet Studio Ipoh is one of the most accessible boarding hotels in the city, thanks to its convenient location. It’s near the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport, which makes picking up and dropping off that much more convenient.
We discovered this place when we were looking for pet shops in Ipoh, and later found out that they also offered pet boarding services. This store piqued our interest because of its wide variety of affordable pet essentials, from containers to food, leashes, etc.
We then inquired about their boarding services, and we were surprised at how cheap they were. However, it is worth noting that their space isn’t that big; it doesn’t feature any outdoor play areas.
Still, we thought that Moggy & Doggy was a great pet-boarding hotel because of the kind staff members. The kindness and level of care that these staff members provided were also the main highlights that their regulars told us during our interviews!
