One of the best pros of living in Malaysia is its advanced healthcare system. I gained an appreciation for this just recently when one of my grandparents had complications with their bone health and needed an endocrinologist.
Fortunately, living in Kuala Lumpur made this easy, as several clinics and hospitals are accredited by the government-run public universal healthcare system. It all boiled down to finding the right endocrinologist at the time, which gave me the idea for this review!

How much do endocrinologist services cost in Kuala Lumpur?
An endocrinologist’s fee in Kuala Lumpur usually starts at RM400. This can go higher, though, depending on the doctor itself and the clinic or hospital.

We heard of Dr. Saiful Kassim through word of mouth and what immediately caught our attention was his impressive track record. He has several years of experience in the field and overwhelmingly positive reviews on Google.
We also discovered that he graduated with honours in multiple specialties in Medicine from the National University of Ireland Galway.
Currently, Dr Kassim is a resident doctor at Gleneagles Hospital in KL, which is among the most recommended private hospitals in the capital by locals. This gave us confidence that whichever treatment the doctor would recommend, we’d be using the most advanced equipment there is.
We’ve also interviewed his previous patients and a common consensus we took away was Dr. Kassim’s great communication skills. They highlighted how he was able to clearly explain the patient’s condition and what his course of action would be.
Dr. Kassim’s only downside is his slightly limited operating hours. He’s only in six days a week, two of which are only half-days.

Dr Sharifah Faradila is a resident doctor at Kumpulan Perubatan Johor (KPJ) at Bukit Lanjan, KL, one of the most renowned private hospitals in Kuala Lumpur. This affiliation helped build our confidence because KPJ features the latest tech and comfortable facilities.
One of our favourite things about Dr Fardilla is her official website, as it allowed us to get a better idea of her expertise and experience. Furthermore, it features a convenient and user-friendly online booking system.
As for her approach, we’ve heard from her past patients how she’s highly attentive and soft-spoken during their sessions. Furthermore, they highlighted how she takes the time to clearly explain the treatments that she recommends based on the patient’s symptoms.
Our only gripe is the limited operating hours, as she’s not in on Sundays and her Saturday hours are cut in half. However, we do appreciate how she also lends her time to KPJ Klang on Saturdays.

Dr Lim Sue Wen caught our attention because of the praise he’s. Most of her previous patients praised her attentiveness during their sessions.
They also highlighted her clear communication skills, as she was able to explain the symptoms and treatments in easy-to-digest terms. Her patients noted how this trait made them comfortable with the recommended treatments and more aware of their conditions.
Another highlight is her punctuality, as patients have noted that she’s either there on the dot or even earlier than the appointment. Plus, we appreciate her responsiveness and willingness to communicate even after consultation hours by offering her contact number.
The only thing we don’t like is her limited hours because she’s only in for 2 days per week—plus, it doesn’t help that she’s only in for four hours on Saturday. Furthermore, we do want to note that her clinic is located just outside Kuala Lumpur.

Dr Ch’ng Tong Wooi specialises in pediatric endocrinology and we’ve witnessed first-hand how well she works with kids. Furthermore, the parents of her previous patients highlighted how her gentle and soft-spoken approach immediately made their kids feel at ease.
We also trust Dr Ch’ng because she’s a member of both the Paediatric Endocrine Society (PES) and the Endocrine Society. We’ve looked into both of these societies and we discovered that their goal includes improving patient care for endocrinology patients.
Also, since she’s affiliated with Sunway Medical Centre, you can expect to get the best facilities possible during your treatments. The hospital also offers a convenient app where you can conveniently schedule a check-up with Dr Ch’ng.
The only downside is that she only caters to pediatric patients. If you’re looking for a reliable doctor for your child, however, Dr Ch’ng is more than a great option with her expertise and warm and welcoming personality.

Dr Jeanne Wong Sze Lyn caught our attention with her impressive post-graduate training and board certifications. For instance, before ending up at Sunway Medical Centre, she was already in the field as a Medical Officer in Paediatrics at Penang General Hospital.
One of our favourite things about Dr Lyn is her official website, as it allowed us to get a better idea of her experience, education and services. Furthermore, the website features an accessible online scheduling system that parents can use.
We heard nothing but good words from the parents of her previous patients, highlighting her friendly and welcoming personality. Parents also highlighted how dedicated Dr Lyn is, as attentively listens to each patient before creating tailor-made solutions for their symptoms.
Scheduling an appointment with Dr Lyn is breezy thanks to her online scheduling system. We did notice, however, that her schedule gets filled up almost immediately, which can be frustrating at times.
Originally, we were iffy about her slight tardiness in her consults. However, after witnessing how she takes the time to get to know her patients and provide the utmost care, we understood why she’s well-loved by many!
