CG Auto Service was recommended to us by a handful of our respondents because of its reliability. Our interviewees told us how they could always count on this garage because of their complete selection of services, ranging from simple maintenance steps to complete overhauls.
We visited the garage ourselves for a quick oil change, and we were impressed with the quick turnaround time. To be honest, we didn’t mind spending time in their shop, either, as their waiting area had air conditioning.
Regulars of CG Auto Service also highlighted the friendly and skilled mechanics of the garage. They told us how these professionals wouldn’t recommend services that weren’t needed by clients and even provide tips on how to better take care of their vehicles.
We also saw their mechanics’ expertise in action during our visit, as they’re able to diagnose our car’s issue within minutes of inspection.
The only downside here is that they’re closed on Sundays.

Munich Precision is among the most well-known “car guy” (or gal) spots in Petaling Jaya due to its comprehensive range of services. For starters, they offer a complimentary in-depth car wash and vacuum with every car service in their shop.
During our interviews, one of the things that regulars pointed out about Munic Precision was their speedy and accurate diagnostics. We discovered that apart from sheer experience, the mechanics can achieve these by having sophisticated diagnostic equipment.
These pieces of equipment can be used for high-end cars such as Porsche, Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. Upon discovering the issue, the mechanics can provide a fix, whether it be simply aligning or completing engine overhauls.
We also appreciate how the company offers other services, such as rentals and in-depth vehicle checks for those looking to buy second-hand cars.
The only downsides here are its slightly limited operating hours and above-average rates.

“I’ve been sending my BMW hybrid model to Munich after the official BMW warranty expired. I would say all my visits here have been very good. I got a good transparent pricing in advance before doing it, and I could also choose which service from the quoted one that I want to do (in case you have other financial commitments or time constraints).
They also have a spare car service with a charge lower than 60RM, which is a huge win for your administrative task, cos there’s no admin, just book and pay, and go while your car is serviced.
Pricing is a bit higher than your normal workshop, but that’s because they have a standard hourly rate/credit rate for their workers who work on something, depending on the complication of your service. So far, I’m super happy and will keep coming back if need be.”

“Reliable, reasonable pricing with responsible after-sales service. I was quoting a few workshops to check on my options for my drive train issue. After giving them a message, the staff member directly called me to understand my issue and provide a few options to proceed.
After replacing the parts and paying, two weeks later, the warning pop-up appeared again. The boss immediately asked me to send in the new parts, and they recalibrated them to the newly changed parts.

We’ve driven by GGS Eurotech several times, and it has always caught our attention because multiple premium cars are constantly parked in their garage. After a brief inquiry, we discovered that their mechanics specialise in luxury cars such as BMW, Lexus, and Volvo.
However, they still cater to lower-end cars, offering complete services for all, including tuning, engine overhauls, oil changes, and more.
We also reached out to their previous clients, and one of the constant things they brought up was the efficiency and knowledge of the mechanics. For instance, a handful of our interviewees noted how smooth and quick the process was.
Their maintenance package also caught our attention because it offered software coding updates, which are specifically for electric cars. We appreciate that they serve these individually as well, and we didn’t hear any reports of mechanics upselling from our respondents.
Our only gripe is they’re closed on Sundays. Furthermore, it doesn’t help that they’re only open until 1:00 PM on Saturdays,

Hoong Wai Auto Repairs immediately piqued our interest with its beautiful showroom-like garage. It also helped that they’re trusted by premium car owners, so brands like Mercedes-Benz and BMW are always parked in front of the premises.
We reached out to their clients, and a handful of them went on to praise Hoong Wai Auto Repairs as the standard for premium car repairs.
They mostly attributed this claim to the workmanship of the mechanics, stating the unrecognisable results of their damaged parts afterwards.
Previous clients also shared their appreciation for the mechanics’ professionalism, stating how they could work on all types of damage.
Our favourite thing about Hoong Wai Auto repairs, however, is their impressive detailing skills. This is perfectly showcased in their spray painting service, where they masterfully coat multiple layers of paint, which doesn’t result in uneven shades or bubbling.
We just wish they had emergency services and Sunday operations.

“Great job done! My wife’s Vios had quite a terrible hit at the rear left corner, and by comparing before and after repair, I’m very impressed and glad the car has been sent here for restoration.

Tyrelogy by Sing Lee Hin Tyre was one of the most brought up names during our interviews, with previous clients stating customer service as one of their strongest traits. For starters, their mechanics are experienced in all makes of cars, ranging from Hondas to Lexuses, etc.
What impressed us the most, however, was their turnaround time, in what they dub “express car service”. We reached out to people who availed of this service, and they told us that their cars were ready to hit the road in just around an hour.
Tyrelogy is also known for its in-depth tyre services. Their tyre puncturing is a prime example of this, where they help reinforce the integrity and performance of wheels.
The garage also carries a wide array of tyres that come in handy for different driving conditions. Plus, they only carry high-quality brands such as Continental.
Our only gripe is their pricey rates. However, this is somewhat made up for by their regular promotions throughout the year.

“Just discovered this humble tyre shop. If you want your car wheel alignment done properly & professionally, this is the place. Had my 530i and CX-5 done here. The technician named Ah Boon is knowledgeable, friendly, honest & humble.
After performing machine alignment, you can test drive the car with him to adjust and centre the car steering so it won’t pull to one side or the other. The only workshop from so many that actually lets you be involved in the process!
Very satisfied with this approach as the steering is as centred as you like it to be. No more excuses when steering still pulls like “ it’s like that, perfectly normal, nothing can be done, the car may be old, etc”.
