When it comes to unlimited sushi, Mitasu Japanese Restaurant is second to none! Sure, tons of other buffet restaurants feature an “Asian” section, but their sushi doesn’t come close to the quality of the ones featured here!
Whether it be melt-in-your-mouth tuna or delicate salmon, each of these sushi/sashimi is handcrafted masterfully by the restaurant’s chefs. This reason alone makes it one of the best Japanese restaurants in KL!
What’s great about this place is that you don’t have to get up from your table to get your food like in traditional buffets. Instead, all you have to do is place your order from your menu and you’re good to go!

Nestled in one of Kuala Lumpur’s iconic hotels is Contango, a world-class buffet restaurant that will let you try different cuisines in one sitting. From Italian pasta to Japanese sushi and anything in between, you can expect to find everything in this restaurant’s buffet spread.
Just imagine, one minute you’re enjoying a nice slab of grilled steak and the next you’re indulging in one of Malaysia’s best curries. To finish it all off, you can get some of their delicately made sushi!
Aside from the food, the entire place itself is a whole highlight, featuring classy and elegant decor, which is something you’d expect from a beautiful hotel such as this. Their impeccable service also makes a huge difference, especially if you’re there to celebrate!
Pro tip:
If you can’t decide whether to try their seafood or their pasta, you can get the best of both worlds by trying their crab carbonara!
Delhi Royale

If you’ve always wanted to indulge in India’s amazing dishes without leaving the country, then visiting Delhi Royale should be on your to-do list in Kuala Lumpur. It’s here where you can immerse yourself in classics such as tandoori, biryani and more!
Upon entering this restaurant, your mouth will instantly water because of the aromatics coming out of the kitchen. Furthermore, you’ll know that this is an authentic Indian through and through when you taste the strong spices featured in every dish.
The restaurant itself isn’t the biggest, as it can only seat up to 72 people, but we think that’s part of its charm. Its more intimate setting makes for a more pleasant environment and pair that with their world-class service, and you’ve got yourself the best dining experience you can ask for!
Pro tip:
While you’re here, make sure to stop by the legendary Petronas Twin Towers! It’s only a couple of minutes away from the restaurant and it’s one of the most iconic buildings in the country.

We’re not exaggerating when we say that Lemon Garden at Shangri-La has everything to satisfy all kinds of cravings. Whether you’re looking for local or international food, you can find them here and the best part is that they’re prepared with unparalleled precision and care.
They offer three kinds of buffets throughout the day (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and each one features stand-out dishes. For instance, we think that the main star of their breakfast spread is the rendang tok omelette and the eggs benedict.
Meanwhile, the lunch and dinner spreads have countless options like nasi lemak, pizza, congee, pasta, soup and more. As for desserts, they feature an amazing version of creme brulee, which features fresh summer berries—yum!

Mosaic at Mandarin Oriental is another buffet restaurant that offers an impressive selection of Indian food. You can even see them being prepared right in front of your very eyes, which is a nice added touch I must say.
Whether you’re looking for the fiery spice of Indian curries or the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi of Japan, you’ll be pleased with the choices here. Of course, there are also some Western staples that are always present in these types of buffets.
We also love the premium ambience that the restaurant features that adds to the overall dining experience. Furthermore, it overlooks the beautiful KLCC Park, so if you’re one to admire stunning views while eating, this is one of the best options for you!

Nook at Aloft

Nook is a modern and stylish buffet restaurant housed by an equally cool-looking hotel. Its striking look is only the beginning of what makes this place worth checking out, however, as the real highlight here is, of course, the food.
This restaurant houses various cuisines under one roof so if you and your company can’t decide on which food to eat, this is one of the best choices for you. They feature everything from spicy Indian curries to fresh flavours of Southeast Asia cuisines and more!
We also love that they offer a wide array of local favourites like nasi lemak and Sarawak laksa, both of which you can never go wrong with.
Pro tip:
Consider this place if you’re visiting with kids because children aged 6 and below eat for free while those between 7 and 12 years old can enjoy 50% off.
ROCKU Yakiniku

It would be a disservice to have a list like this and not feature a Yakiniku restaurant, and there’s no spot more deserving to be featured here than ROCKU! This place offers all-you-can-eat buffets featuring different types of meats and seafood as well as their side dishes.
The meat here is nothing short of spectacular, featuring amazing marbling that leads to melt-in-your-mouth textures once perfectly grilled. Speaking of amazing, they also feature premium meats like Wagyu!
You can also indulge in seafood if the meat sweats starts breaking out. They offer a variety of them including scallops, squid, prawns and fish!
Pro tip:
The cheapest way to get to ROCKY Yakiniku is by riding the bus and dropping off at the Pavillion Bus Stop. From there, the restaurant is only a couple of minutes away on foot!
Makan Kitchen

If you want to be immersed in Malaysia’s rich cuisine, then Makan Kitchen is the ultimate destination for you! This buffet restaurant does a great job of showcasing the specialties of different regions, from the aromatic curries of the south to the spicy delights of the north.
You can also see the influences from other cuisines like Peranakan, Chinese, and Indian, which further proves the diversity of Malaysia’s food scene! So whether you’re looking for biryani, dumplings, nasi lemak, or more, you’ll get to enjoy all of them here!
The place also features a lively and interactive atmosphere, partly because of its cooking stations, where you’ll see your favourite dishes being prepared before your very eyes.

Nipah at EQ

Nipah at EQ does a great job of combining both Western and local delicacies through their buffet spread. Found in KL’s Equatorial Plaza, this restaurant boasts local staples like roti canai and satay as well as international favourites like pizza, pasta, steaks and more.
Our favourite section here, however, is the seafood table where you’ll find various fresh seafood on ice like oysters, mussels, tiger prawns and more!
They also feature a variety of desserts like baked cheesecake, red velvet cake, mango pudding and more. If you want our advice though, we recommend getting the chocolate brownies!

While you’re here, be sure to visit Aquaria KLCC before or after eating! It’s located just across the street from the Equatorial and it houses over 5,000 exhibits showcasing Malaysia’s rich marine life.
