Top 5 Bicycle Shops in USJ That Will Guarantee You a Smooth Ride
As a longtime commuter in Klang Valley, one of my best decisions was buying a bicycle. Not only did it help me with the heavy congestion during peak hours but it also gave me a newfound appreciation for Kuala Lumpur and Selangor’s parks.
It wasn’t an easy process though, as I didn’t want to skimp out and preferred to buy something that would last me several years. Fortunately, I didn’t have to look far, as USJ was brimming with bicycle shops!
If you’re someone who’s looking to do the same, here’s a review of the most promising bicycle shops in USJ that I considered during my search. Their pros and cons are listed down as well to help you weigh your options!
What is the average cost of bicycles in USJ?
Kid bikes range from RM200 to 800 while usual adult bikes like cruisers, mountain and road bicycles cost RM500+, RM800+, and RM1,500+, respectively.

If you’re a bike enthusiast, entering USJ Cycles will make you feel like a kid in a candy store because of the sheer variety of bikes they offer. Their stocks include road bikes, hybrids, mountain bikes, kids bikes and more.
Furthermore, they carry several locally well-known brands like Giant Bicycles Malaysia, Trek Bikes Kuala Lumpur and Tern Bikes Malaysia. They also carry the international brand Dahon for their exceptional folding bikes.
We were also impressed by their selection of biking essentials, from cycling shoes to lights, gloves and spandex. They also have an impressive selection of bike equipment but make sure to check out their online store before visiting.
Moreover, they offer free delivery within Malaysia as long as you meet the minimum required spending amount.
Some customers, however, complained about the staff’s customer service, stating they were ignored and haven’t been provided with necessary information about certain products. Although we’ve not experienced this on our end, we still want to acknowledge this issue.

PedalSpot Taipan USJ is one of my biker friends’ go-to stores because of its complete set of components. From handlebars to frames, brake pads, etc., the selection here is impressive!
What’s even better is that their staff members offer installation services. Furthermore, you’ll find all the necessary apparel for a more comfortable, safe and functional biking experience. We love how their helmets come in cool colours and designs.
Their staff members are also worth a shoutout because of their quick turnaround time with repairs, installation and maintenance. Furthermore, their knowledge of bikes is impressive, as they often provide insights and recommendations to owners.
However, we did notice that the types of bikes they carry are a bit limited compared to other stores. They only offer mountain, road and folding bikes while common variations like kids’ bicycles and hybrid bikes are nowhere to be found.

Our favourite thing about shopping at 96Cycling Subang USJ is the promos they hold throughout the year. Some of these sales are already generous, with some items being slashed down 10% to 15% but others are downright steals, especially their accessories.
Speaking of, the variety of accessories they have here is impressive, offering everything from gloves to helmets, lights, etc. We even got our phone holder from this store a couple of years ago and it still holds up today—a testament to the quality of their products.
Aside from the regular deals they offer, we love shopping here because of the welcoming customer service. When we visited their store, their staff was extremely patient in explaining the traits of their different models, even recommending the best one that would suit our needs.
Our only gripe is that their website only features the Chinese language, but that’s just us nitpicking.

Cyclistspot Bicycle 3S Center caught our attention because of its affordable and in-depth repair and service packages. For instance, they offer different tiers of maintenance services, ranging from basic to premium.
We also like that they offer a la carte services for those who just want a specific part of their bikes to be tuned (without paying for an entire service maintenance!).
One thing we noticed about their mechanics is their meticulousness, which they perfectly showcased during their bike wash service. We saw how they carefully dismantled my bike and cleaned every crevice before reassembling it with care and finishing it off with body polish.
That said, we do feel like Cyclistspot is more of a repair centre as opposed to a store itself since their selection of bikes is quite limited.
Nonetheless, we’re fans of their wide array of biking essentials, like goggles, helmets and gloves. We also scored a tool set from their sale last year and it still serves its purpose today!

Eko Life should be on your radar if you’re looking for a hybrid or an electronic bike. They offer an assortment of high-tech bikes that are LTA-approved—100% safe and reliable to use on city roads.
The store itself features a welcoming atmosphere, partly because of their friendly customer service. We found that these people are great at explaining what e-bikes are along with their pros and cons to someone who wasn’t familiar with the concept back then.
Eko Life also houses a talented team of technicians who can meticulously operate various maintenance services specifically for e-bikes and e-scooters. These services include chain-tightening, simple cleaning, brake pad aligning and more.
We’re just a bit iffy from the lack of regular bicycles in their store. You should also expect to pay substantially more than you would for a traditional bike, but they make up for this by offering installment plans.
Finally, if you’re on a tight budget, you’ll be glad to know that they offer used e-bikes!
