Aroma Baking Ingredients immediately wowed us when we entered its doors, as its shelves were stocked with various baking essentials. As amateur bakers ourselves, we felt like kids in a candy store, as every aisle was filled with stuff like chocolate chips, cookie crumbs, nuts, etc.
Furthermore, they carry a wide variety of brands, so customers who have different preferences have a choice. For instance, their selection of butter sticks alone consists of well-known brands like Lurpak, SCS Pure Butter, Golden Churn Butter and more.
We also like that they offer a wide array of baking tools like moulds, cookie cutters, measuring spoons and more.
Moreover, one of our favourite things about this baking shop is how well these products are laid out to the point where it’s not overwhelming.
However, we did hear reports of rudeness among their staff members, which can be a total buzzkill when you’re trying to shop.

Six Elements Baking Ingredients & Baking Studio separates itself from other stores by offering fully-fledged workshops. We appreciate this setup because it gives customers the chance to put their newly bought products into practice.
These workshops are done in their in-house studio and will teach you how to make various baked goods like steamed buns, cakes, loaves of bread, etc. And, they can cater to bakers with different levels of expertise!
Of course, the main star remains to be the store, which exceeded our expectations. For starters, they offer a wide variety of products on their shelves, ranging from tools to ingredients. Their staff are helpful, too, and very knowledgeable about the brands they carry.
However, we do wish that they would take advantage of having an official website by listing down the products they have on the shelf. This way, potential customers can save time from visiting their store and later find out that they can’t find what they’re looking for.

EZ Bake Baking Ingredients Shop is a go-to for many bakers, amateurs and professionals alike, because of its affordable prices. It also helps that it features one of the most impressive selections of baking needs as well.
They offer a wide array of baking essentials, from ingredients like flour and powders to equipment like oven mitts, moulds, rolling pins and more.
We were also impressed to see their wide selection of cake decorations like candles and mini figures. For instance, they feature well-known superheroes like Iron Man and The Flash and even personalities like Cristiano Ronaldo.
It’s also among the most accessible baking stores in Penang, as it features multiple locations.
The only thing we wish they’d do is create an official website where potential customers can browse their products from the comfort of their homes. In this day and age, it’s the standard to have this accessibility—plus, it makes a company feel all the more legit.

We stumbled upon JS Bakery Ingredients Supply Shop by accident and it was one of our best recent discoveries. It’s not as well known as other baking stores in Penang but it offers the same variety of products at reasonable prices.
Although they don’t carry as many brands as we would like, we still appreciate that they feature everything from powders to tools and everything in between. They’re also never out of stock of anything because they always seem to refresh their selection, which is a huge A+ in our books.
During our first visit, we were also lucky enough to meet the owner who was friendly and knowledgeable about baking. The same could be said about the workers here, as they would always assist us during our restocks.
Aside from its slightly limited selection of brands, the only thing we would change about this store is its lack of an official website. We think that having a website where customers can browse their stocks conveniently would highly benefit both the buyer and the store.

In addition to supplying ingredients, the owner also bakes a limited quantity of scrumptious, fluffy bread daily.
I highly recommend trying the Japanese Red Bean Bread—it’s not overly sweet, and the baking style with red bean swirls around the entire bread is simply divine! And at only RM3, it’s a steal. You can tell that the owner bakes from the heart.

Ceria Ingredients House Sdn Bhd is an old shophouse that offers a variety of baking needs. It’s also one of our go-to baking shops because it carries tons of brands, from its selection of cream cheese, powders and even tools like rolling pins.
It’s like a one-stop shop packed in such a small space, making browsing the shelves that much easier. Furthermore, we’re always able to save more while shopping here since everything is wholesale priced.
However, one of our favourite things about shopping here is the friendly customer service. Their knowledgeable staff members always know what to recommend to us based on what specific pastry we’re trying.
As for its downsides, our main gripe is its lack of an official website, as it forces us to visit the store itself just to check what’s available. Furthermore, we think that the overall store is a bit outdated and a bit unmaintained at times.
