Best Time to Go

One of the biggest advantages of being located indoors is you can enjoy it regardless of the weather, making it a perfect destination all year round!

If you want to visit when there are fewer people, however, we recommend going during the weekdays. This theme park is a famous spot for tourists and locals alike, so expect it to be crowded during the weekends.

How to Get There

Taxi: Taxi cabs can be found at almost every corner in Kuala Lumpur and you can hail one of them as soon as you land in KLIA. It’s a great way to get around if you don’t want to go through the hassle of other public modes of transportation.

Grab: Alternatively, you can book a ride through the Grab app if you want to be picked up from your current location. The advantage of this over taxi cabs is that its fare is already fixed before you even book a ride.

Bus: Kuala Lumpur features one of the most impressive integrated bus systems in the world. It’s a cheap and efficient way to get around the city–granted that there are no traffic jams.

Train: The train system is also well-developed in the capital, having numerous stations near tourist-heavy zones. It’s one of the quickest ways of getting around KL as well as getting to Berjaya Times Square.

If you’ll be travelling by train, the station that you have to drop off at is Imbi.

Rental car: Driving a rental is great if you feel more comfortable travelling privately. Several reputable rental car companies in Kuala Lumpur can provide you with the best car that will suit your needs.

However, this is one of the few places where we don’t recommend rental cars too much, as we don’t want you to get caught in traffic jams.

Must-Try Rides at Berjaya Square Theme Park

Supersonic Odyssey

Zone: Galaxy Station

Simply put, Supersonic Odyssey is for those who are on a mission to experience the thrill of a lifetime. This adrenaline-inducing ride will take you on a 2-storey loop that consists of various twists and turns–get your bag, ready!

It’s one of the longest loops in the Asia-Pacific, measuring 800 metres long. It doesn’t feel like it though as you’ll be blasting through at a top speed of 80km per hour.

Bubble Express

Zone: Galaxy Station

Bubble Express is what you’ll get if you take your regular merry-go-round and dial it up to 11. Instead of riding horses, however, you’ll be strapped onto a cart with a plus one.

It’s a whacky ride that will spin you up to 17 rounds per minute–make sure to put your hands up!

Spinning Orbit

Zone: Galaxy Station

As if being spun on at ground level isn’t enough, Spinning Orbit takes you up 30 feet before doing so–if you’re afraid of heights, you may want to skip this! We do recommend you try it though, as it’s one of the most fun rides in the park that will leave you walking in curved lines.

It can house up to 48 passengers at a time and the maximum speed is 10 rounds per minute–good luck!

Robo Crash

Zone: Galaxy Station

Robo Crash is your classic bumper car ride that’s perfect for all kinds of ages. You can either enjoy a peaceful ride or if you’re feeling villainous, you can ram other cars to send them spinning!

One thing that sets this bumper car ride apart from others is it comes with blasters so you can shoot other drivers! Be sure to watch your back!

Botanic Drive

Zone: Fantasy Garden

Botanic Drive is a kid-friendly ride that takes you on a safari throughout the Fantasy Garden zone. It’s a leisurely stroll, perfect for kiddos or those who simply want to take a break from the fast-paced action of roller coasters.

Buddy Go Round

Zone: Fantasy Garden

Buddy Go Round is the traditional carousel in this indoor theme park. Instead of horses, however, you’re going to be riding one of Fantasy Garden’s cute and weird inhabitants!

It wouldn’t be a complete theme park experience without snapping some photos while riding a carousel so make sure not to miss this ride!

Molly-Cool’s Swing

Zone: Fantasy Garden

Molly-Cool’s Swing is the kid’s version of the famous pirate ship ride that you’ll find in almost every theme park. Don’t be fooled though, as this “dialled down” version can still make you scream at the top of your lungs!

Crazy Bus

Zone: Fantasy Garden

If your kids are insisting on going on the grown-up rides, check out Crazy Bus. It’s one of the most exhilarating rides in the Fantasy Garden Zone, taking its riders on a vertical loop at high speeds.

Fantasy Trail

Riding the Fantasy Trails is one of the best things you can do in this theme park. This is because it won’t only treat you to a fun and magical time, but it will also give you a tour of the whole Fantasy Garden zone–win-win!

Other Things to Do in Berjaya Times Square Theme Park

Hone your archery skills

Rates: RM15 to RM50

Always wanted to feel like Legolas, Katniss, Daryl Dixon or any other iconic archer in pop culture? You should check out Stars Archery, an archery range where you can hone your bow and arrow skills!

They offer different packages for different levels of skills (beginners, intermediate, etc.). Each package differs in the number of arrows that you’ll be given–the more, the merrier!

Moreover, if you’re a beginner, there will be instructors on site who will be more than willing to help you with the fundamentals of this sport.

Knock down pins at Ambang Superbowl

Rates: RM10 to RM15

If you’re with your family or a group of friends, you should visit Ambang Superbowl, the hottest bowling alley in the mall. You know the drill: 15 pins will be formed into a triangle and with a single bowling ball, your goal is to hit as many of them on a single throw!

There are also some stalls on the bowling alley itself so you can conveniently grab some snacks and drinks!

Go rock climbing at Cosmo Climb

The Cosmo Climb attraction is for those wh are looking for something more physical. Here, your upper body strength and body coordination will be tested, as you’re tasked with climbing a space-themed wall!

The reward? A unique perspective of the theme park as well as bragging rights for life!

Gets spooked at the Haunted House

I think one thing we could all agree on is that getting scared is only fun when you’re together with loved ones. That’s why when you’re here, we recommend stopping by the Haunted House, where you can enjoy a spine-tingling experience!

The interior of the attraction is essentially a dark maze that’s filled with jumpscares around every corner–need we say more?

Win prizes at the carnival games

Playing carnival games is a great way to take a break from the adrenaline-filled rides of this theme park. Through these fun (and hopefully not rigged) games, you can wind down, test your skills, and win cute prizes!

One of our favourites here is duck fishing, as it’s the only game that we don’t rage on. Plus, there are great prizes in store!

Enter the Fantasy Labyrinth

Enter the Fantasy Labyrinth
(Photo from: Berjaya Times Square Theme Park)

The Fantasy Labyrinth is a fun and colourful playground that’s made entirely out of crochet. It’s the first and largest one of its kind in Malaysia–how awesome is that?

Here, you can wind down and enjoy the bold colours on display while your kids are having a blast bouncing off the walls. It’s also a great photo opportunity so make sure to snap some adorable pictures!

Blast your stress away at Urban Strike Force

If you want to blow off some steam, we recommend stopping by Urban Strike Force at the Galaxy Zone. Here, you’ll get to blast your problems away by shooting gel blasters on targets like bottles, cans, and more!
