Just like us, hardworking furparents, our dogs also deserve to get their sweet treat every so often. I mean, being good boys and gals 24/7 has to be rewarded somehow, which is where dog cafes come in!
Malaysia has several dog cafes across its cities that guarantee furbabies and their owners a relaxing time, along with good food and drinks. These aren’t just your Instaworthy cafes where dogs are allowed; instead, they are places designed specifically for them.

Residents of JB love Shi-ba Cafè because of its titular shiba inus, who always look like they’re up to no good in the funniest way possible. However, their behaviour is the complete opposite, as they’re always friendly to customers and obedient to the cafe’s staff members!
They can line up for a photo op in a snap, and they’ll even be wearing costumes, making for an adorable portrait. You’ll often find them either minding their own business or playing in the cafe’s open space, where you can interact with them as well!
Our favourite thing about this place is that a single ticket already comes with a single drink and an ice cream. However, we recommend checking out the rest of their menu, as they offer daily specials like fish and chips, salmon bento, and twisty fries.
Pro tip:
If you want a physical memory of your time with the doggos here, we recommend getting an Instax photo for only RM10!

Huskies are some of the most majestic dog breeds out there, but what most people don’t know is that they’re just as quirky as the other ones. Huskiss is one of the best places to see this first-hand, as their resident huskies are some of the most playful bunch we’ve met!
This cafe offers both indoor and outdoor play areas where you can meditate or play with the adorable cafes for a whole hour! Plus, every pass comes with a complimentary drink, which can come in the form of various coffee and non-coffee treats.
Moreover, they offer light snacks, pastries, and desserts to accompany your drink! You can’t go wrong with any of them, but we must recommend their cheesecake because of its perfect balance between sweetness and tartness.

Technically, Furrito Haus Cafe isn’t just a dog cafe, as it features more than just doggos and puppers as its residents. Instead, we’ll call it an animal cafe, as it houses exotic species as well, such as geckos, skunks, and pot-bellied pigs.
The most striking thing about this cafe, however, is that it has an alpaca roaming its grounds as if it were the most normal thing. What’s even crazier is that you can pet Snowy (its name), and take memorable photos while she’s wearing cute outfits!
The cafe itself is charming and cosy, offering a lovely space where people can relax, take photos, and enjoy good food. Their menu consists of Western dishes like spaghetti and chicken chop, as well as local delights such as nasi lemak and claypot curry noodle.

Meanwhile, you can try their all-day brunch items, like the croissant sandwiches, which feature hearty fillings like bacon, prawns, mushrooms, and eggs. We also like how they’re inclusive, offering vegan options like the breakfast plate that features beans, salad, toasts, and hash.
The place itself is worth highlighting as well, as it offers a minimalistic and Instagrammable interior, with its polished cement floors, white walls, and wooden furniture. Furthermore, it’s spacious enough to provide dogs a spot where they can go on zoomies!

Pawse & Play is a dog cafe in Kuala Lumpur where you can take cute photos and satisfy your hunger at the same time. It’s one of our go-tos whenever we’re craving a hearty brunch, mainly because of the big breakfast meal, which consists of bacon, hash browns, sausages, and eggs.
The cafe also features creative pet meals that look just as appetising as human food, which I may or may not have tried myself. For instance, they offer a salmon pizza that features a generous amount of carrots, broccoli, and mozzarella cheese.
These hearty dishes are perfect because your pets will need all the energy they can get after running around the cafe and playing with other dogs. The cafe is also the ideal playground, as it’s spacious!

The biggest highlight, here, however, is the food selection that caters both to furparents and furbabies. One of the standouts here is the fried banana nutmeg waffle, which will satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth with its caramel drizzle, vanilla ice cream, and nutmeg dusting.
The cafe also has a pet store, so you can stock up on food and cleaning supplies right after enjoying your meal!

As you may have gleaned from its name, Chill ‘N Chow Cafe’s main highlight is its chow chow, and we’re here to tell you that there are TEN of them here. These are some of the cutest dog breeds due to their large and fluffy nature, and here, you can pet them to your heart’s content!
Each ticket also comes with a complimentary serving of their homemade ice cream, which is a close second to the chow chows in terms of reasons to visit. They offer different flavours, but the vanilla is our favourite because of its creaminess and simplicity.
We also like how the place looks ACTUALLY like a cafe that you would visit with your friends to catch up and bond over brunch food and coffee.

Don’t wear sandals or flip-flops when visiting this cafe unless you’re bringing a pair of socks! This way, you won’t have to buy a pair for RM3 since it’s required.
