We were also impressed with their in-depth blood work process, which utilises a specialised tool to help veterinarians pinpoint medical conditions.
They also offer dental services for cats, which include a complete set of hygienic oral tools. We reached out to clients who had their cats’ teeth checked and extracted, and they were pleased with how gentle the vets were.
Speaking of, the vets (along with the rest of the staff) have an overall gentle and welcoming vibe in the clinic, which immediately helps calm the patients and their furparents.
The clinic is also highlighted as being well-maintained, especially the pet boarding area, which featured basic amenities like cages, beds, etc.

“I had a great experience at Medicat Taman Teratai. The clinic is so clean, comfortable and well organised. The staff and doctors are very friendly, professional, and always ready to help.

He really loves his job
“Assalamualaikum. My mom and my little sister went to this clinic, and Dr Taufiq was the one in charge of looking at our geriatric cat.
They had a really pleasant consultation session with him, and apparently, he suspected my cat had cancer due to old age and asked them to get a second opinion from a more diagnostic clinic, and to our surprise, he was right about the illness.
He really took the time to explain to them about the illness and didn’t charge at all! Even though the consultation is free, he says sorry because at the time, the clinic doesn’t have enough facilities.

For starters, they were highly appreciative of the customer service, stating how the vets and staff members treat each pet as their own. Some respondents even told us that the high level of care they saw from their medical professionals immediately calmed their nerves.
We were also impressed with the state-of-the-art tech they were equipped with, more specifically with their laser therapy.
Their vets are also well-versed in different types of surgeries. Different clients shared their pets’ cases with us, but the one that stood out to us the most was the case of a hip replacement for their cat.

“I am beyond impressed with the exceptional care and dedication shown by Dr Ong and the entire team at JB Animal Medical Clinic.
I brought my cat in due to a loss of appetite, which was later diagnosed as sepsis and chronic kidney disease (CKD).
From day one, the team provided outstanding support with daily updates through videos, voice notes, and phone calls, all clearly explaining my cat’s condition, blood investigations, X-rays and progress.
Every medication, including the names of antibiotics, was communicated transparently. The billing was honest and fully itemised, which I deeply appreciated.

Koh Animal Clinic & Surgery differentiates itself from others by offering fully fleshed-out medical services. For starters, it’s one of the few clinics in the city that offers laboratory services and CT-scan imaging, thanks to its complete set of tools and equipment.
We were also surprised to see that they offer traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for pets. A handful of our interviewees told us how effective these methods were in helping cases such as asthma, arthritis, and even gastrointestinal problems.
Furparents whom we interviewed also stated that the veterinarians helped them overcome jitters upon arrival, thanks to their gentle approach. They’ve also seen them work closely and told us how passionate they were with their animals, even providing free healthcare tips.
The overall clinic is well-maintained as well, and doesn’t feature the musty smell usually present in animal centres and pet shops. However, we do wish that they could improve their waiting areas, as opposed to just offering chairs in a room.
