For the longest time, I’ve been chaperoning my grandfather to his ENT specialist and go-to audiologist centre whenever he needs adjustments for his hearing aid. What I didn’t realise, however, was that they weren’t getting the best care in our area in Kuala Lumpur.
My grandfather would always complain about inaccurate diagnoses and costly check-ups, so I asked my team to help find a better audiologist centre in KL. Since then, my granddad hasn’t just improved his hearing; he’s in a much better mood when it’s time for check-ups.

Previous patients shared that they immediately felt at ease entering the centre, thanks to the warm, welcoming approach of the audiologists and other staff. They also highlighted how the audiologists treat them as individuals, complete with personalised treatment plans.

We were impressed with their children’s hearing tests because of the variety they offered, including visual reinforcement and play audiometry. For babies, they featured painless emissions to screen their hearing.
Previous patients also praised Global Hearing Care for its seamless five-step hearing test, starting with an in-depth consultation that aims to address the patient’s hearing concern.
It’s an effective process, from what we’ve gathered, as patients told us that they ended up with the best and personalised hearing aid possible. They also highlighted how easy it was to get tune-ups afterwards, which is a testament to the clinic’s aftercare services.
Our only gripe is that they’re closed on Sundays and open only 4 hours on Saturdays. We do appreciate how easy it is to schedule an appointment, thanks to their online booking system.

EARTISTIC caught our attention with their in-depth assessment tests. For starters, they cater to people of all ages through various methods, such as Automated Auditory Brainstem Response for newborns to play-based audiometry for kids six years old and below.
From what we’ve gathered, the clinic offers a welcoming environment with its cosy interior and friendly staff members. A handful of our interviewees even told us that their audiologists’ kind approach made them more comfortable talking about their conditions.
We also appreciate how they offer tinnitus treatments and assessments. We spoke to patients who underwent them, and they said they were thankful for the relief from the overbearing ringing in their ears.
EARTASTIC also offers a wide variety of hearing aids from different price points. Patients had nothing but good things to say about the products the clinic carried, noting they’re still in good condition years after purchase.
We only wish that they would extend their operating hours through Sunday to cater to more patients.

They also shared their fondness for the audiologists at Clarisound, highlighting their compassion and patience. From what we gathered, these professionals would always listen to their patients intently and provide solutions tailored to their needs.

20dB Hearing stands out from other audiologist centres in KL by offering the initial hearing test for free. We also heard from previous patients that they didn’t feel intimidated by the test, thanks to the kind and caring audiologists who reiterated that the test was indeed free.
The audiologists of 20dB are highly experienced as well, with most of their clients stating how they were able to accurately prescribe them with the right hearing aid in an impressive time. Patients also noted how patient their audiologists were during the assessments.
We were also surprised that they offer speech therapy. Clients who underwent this therapy shared that it helped them regain their confidence in speaking back after getting their hearing back to its full form.
We only wish that they could improve their waiting area, as it’s a bit cramped. Fortunately, they’re located conveniently in the Pavilion, so those waiting could stroll around the mall.
