Everything You Need to Know about SplashMania at Selangor
Selangor is one of the best places to visit in Malaysia during the summertime because it’s where you’ll find SplashMania, one of the country’s premier water parks. It’s a go-to spot for my family and me whenever those sunny days get a bit too warm for our liking.
Aside from cooling down, however, we love visiting this spot because of the adrenaline-inducing slides that never fail to make us scream with glee. Our first visit here wasn’t all fun and smiles though, as we didn’t think our trip through and ended up staying at a lousy hotel nearby.
However, after several trips, I can say that we now know how to plan the perfect day in SplashMania. From where you can stay to nearby restaurants you can check out, here’s everything you need to know about visiting SplashMania WaterPark:
Where is SplashMania WaterPark?

SplashMania WaterPark is located in Gamuda Cove, which is just north of the Paya Indah Wetlands. It can be accessed via the Persiaran Utama Road, connected to the ELITE Highway.

How to Get to SplashMania WaterPark
Self-drive: Since there’s no direct way to get to SplashMania via train or bus, driving a rental car would be your best bet. If you’re coming from Kuala Lumpur, you can simply take the MEX Highway to go to the ELITE Expressway, which would lead you directly to the water park.
Public transport: The closest train station you can drop off at is Putrajaya Sentral, which you can reach by riding the KLIA Express Train from KLIA. From there, you can ride a taxi or book a ride-sharing app to go to the water park.
Alternatively, you can take a bus from Putrajaya to Dengkil and hail a taxi or book a Grab from there to SplashMania.
Attractions to Check Out
Sumaumeira Drop
Choosing Sumaumeira Drop as your first ride is like ripping off the band-aid, with the band-aid being your fear of heights. The anticipation is what makes this ride scary, as it starts with you standing still inside a capsule while waiting for the platform below you to collapse.
There is no definitive way to know when the platform will collapse though, so you’ll be left with anticipation. Once it happens, however, you’ll have nothing left to do but enjoy the slide and scream at the top of your lungs as you slide into the shallow pool.
Wild Rush
Wild Rush is probably the first attraction that will catch your attention just because of its sheer scale. It’s a classic body waterslide that will take you through different twists and turns before dumping you into a 3-metre pool.
It’s also worth noting that there are two twisty slides on this attraction, but don’t worry! Regardless of which one you choose, you’ll still get the same exhilarating experience that will leave you walking in curves.
Aqua Swirl
For lack of a better term, I’d describe Aqua Swirl as “Wild Rush on steroids”. It makes other twisty slides look like a cakewalk, as it bumps everything up to a hundred, from the size of the slide to the amount of twists and turns.
The great thing about this ride is that you’ll get to experience it side by side with your friends, as you’ll all be seated on a raft. It’s also quite funny seeing your friends/family members’ faces as you go through the massive twists and turns on this slide.
Speaking of, this is one of the longest slides inside this water park, measuring over 250 metres—get ready for a long ride!
Zoomi’s Runway
If you’re looking for something that’s a bit more adrenaline-inducing than slides, then Zoomi’s Runway should be right up your alley! It’s a zipline ride that will provide you with amazing panoramic views of the water park—simple but effective!
Before getting to the zipline, however, you must cross a rope bridge! If you want our advice, don’t look down!
After crossing this bridge, you can spend a couple of seconds admiring the 360-degree views of SplashMania.
Sky Leap
Sky Leap is a sudden drop ride that we highly recommend for all the thrillseekers out there who are looking to check off all the extreme things they can do in the park. It’s the closest thing you’ll get to a bungee jumping experience in SplashMania!
What I love about this particular attraction is that they built a theme around it so it doesn’t look like your typical bungee jump. Instead, it’s made to look like you’re walking the plank on a pirate ship—pretty cool!
Surf Mania
Surfing waves has never been easier than here at SplashMania! At SurfMania, you can experience a realistic simulation of beach waves without setting out into the ocean—perfect for those who fear deep waters!
Whether you know how to surf or not, you won’t have to worry because you’ll be briefed before stepping foot on the attraction. The waves here aren’t too bad as well, as they’re not overly strong to turn you overboard but not too weak to be boring.
If you do fall off your surfboard, you can freely glide through the sheet waves provided by their simulator. Plus, you can always get back on your board because the simulated waves will keep pushing it upwards.
Maniac Racers
If you’re visiting with friends, you have to go to the Maniac Racers attraction for one of the most exciting races you can experience in your life. Here, you can go down a twisty slide side by side with your friends, and whoever reaches the pool first wins!
It’s easier said than done though, as the slide itself features tons of turns that will leave you screaming while you’re going down the tube. Some would say it’s all worth it though, as you’ll get to have bragging rights for the rest of the trip!
Monsta
Monsta definitely lives up to its name, as it’s one of the most terrifying rides you can go on with your friends. As with any scary ride, however, it doesn’t fall short on fun and excitement and is super worth facing your fears for.
Together with 4 other people, you’ll get to be strapped onto a circular raft as you slide down this monstrous ride, consisting of sharp turns and steep walls. Of course, after going up the steep wall, what follows is only one of the most sudden drops you’ll experience in the water park.
Treasure Tower
Treasure Tower is the ultimate family-friendly attraction in the entire water park. It’s a playground in the middle of a shallow pool, but that description doesn’t justify how fun it is to spend time here—and that’s coming from an adult!
This aquatic playground consists of a variety of slides, with each one varying in speed levels as well as twists and turns. Don’t worry though because no slide here will be too extreme for your kids because this zone is specifically geared towards kids!
Personally, the main highlight here for me is the splash bucket, which fills up with water and drenches its visitors from time to time.
Ravage River
If you want to take a break from all the crazy slides and adrenaline-pumping drops, then you should check out Ravage River. Here, you’ll get to relax on a raft as you drift through a gentle stream.
Granted that the screeches of kids and adults alike will surround you, it’s still nice that it’s not you who’s screaming this time. Plus, the panoramic nature views that you’ll be treated to will make you feel like you’re in paradise.
Twista
Twista is one of those thrilling rides that you go through just for the fun of being tossed. It’s a group ride where you and four of your friends will be sat on a raft and slide down some of the steepest curves and twists in the park, hence its name.
The crazy thing about this ride is the ridiculous velocity that you’ll be getting when your raft goes down from a steep wall. This, combined with the steep turns of the slide will leave you seeing double afterwards.
