Yik Kee has become one of our favourite spots in TTDI for a solid Chinese meal. It’s perfect for both large gatherings and smaller, more intimate meals.
And the option to bring your own wine or liquor is a nice bonus for anyone wanting to add a personal touch to their dining experience.
Parking can be a bit of a hassle, especially on Sundays when the pasar malam is in full swing, so we definitely recommend planning ahead. The food has a nice home-cooked feel to it, although some dishes are on the heavier side, with rich, Cantonese-style sauces.
We also noticed that while most of the menu items were tasty, the prices were on the high side. Overall, we’d say Yik Kee offers a solid spot to relax and enjoy a comforting Chinese meal.

The venison here is one of the best. The fish head curry is delicious and the deep fried salted egg prawns are mouth watering. Their white steamed tofu with minced pork is tasty and the cabbage vege is crunchy and yummy.
The chicken feet with pork belly etc Claypot is scrumptious. Free street parking is available.”

Chopsticks Asia is one of our go-to spots for a great Chinese meal, thanks to its convenient dine-in, takeaway, and delivery options. The kung po beef and black pepper beef really hit the mark—bold and flavorful, just how we like it!
Their Chinese tea, with a slight natural sweetness, was a refreshing surprise. Service here is impressively quick; even on a Friday night, our food arrived within about 10 minutes.
The restaurant also has a bright, family-friendly atmosphere, with a prayer room for added convenience, though it can get a bit noisy with families around.
Overall, Chopsticks Asia checks all the boxes for us: delicious flavors, quick service, and a relaxed setting, making it a place we’re happy to revisit.

3. Homst TTDI (Chinese Muslim Restaurant)

Business Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 11 AM to 10:30 PM

Homst in TTDI is one of our go-to spots for Chinese Muslim cuisine, offering that cosy, home-cooked vibe we love.
The restaurant itself has a welcoming feel, with plenty of space and a private dining area for a bit of added intimacy. There’s even a surau available, which is a thoughtful touch for Muslim families dining here.
We’ve been back multiple times, and every visit seems to reveal a new favourite, with the Sichuan lamb consistently topping our list. It’s packed with flavour, has the right level of spice, and comes in a portion generous enough for sharing.
While the food is generally satisfying, we’ve noticed a few occasional misses. Some dishes lean on the starchy side, like the beef ginger, which could use a lighter touch with the flour.
The sweet notes in certain dishes, like the tom yam, can be a bit overpowering, but nothing that’s a dealbreaker.
Consistent quality and cosy atmosphere
“Give 15 🌟 for all 3 categories. Yes they maintain the food quality Since 10 years ago, It was opened in Kota Damansara but now If I miss Homst food I always come to TTDI branch.
The atmosphere is more and more improve, and more comfortable.”

4. Sisters Place TTDI
Address: 4, Persiaran Zaaba, Taman Tun Dr Ismail
Phone: +60377298133
Business Hours:
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday to Sunday: 8:30 AM to 9 PM
Sisters Place has quickly become a weekend go-to for us when we’re in the mood for familiar Malaysian flavours in a relaxed setting. There’s a simple, no-frills vibe here that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy a meal, whether with family or friends.
The menu covers local favorites like char koay teow, nasi lemak, and curry mee, and while the dishes are comforting and tasty, they don’t quite have that “wow” factor.
The char koay teow, for instance, could use a bit more of that distinct “wok hei” flavour, and the sambal on the nasi lemak has quite a spicy kick—so be ready for some heat!
One thing to note is that parking here can be challenging, especially on weekends. If the food weren’t so reasonably priced, we might think twice, but the affordability and quick service make it worth the occasional parking hassle.
