Address: 20-2, Jalan PJU 5/11, Kota Damansara
Contact: +60 14-931 3910 / [email protected]
Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Saturday-Sunday, 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Wondrous Art Studio really focuses on building kids’ confidence while helping them get creative. The studio uses a seven-level syllabus that matches each stage of child development, so kids progress step by step.
One parent shared how the teachers paid extra attention to her child’s learning style, which made a big impact.
Kids get to try out all sorts of materials also, from charcoal to clay, so they can figure out what sparks their interest. For something fun and different, their “Pew Pew Pew!” program lets kids use water guns on a giant canvas; definitely not your typical art class!
But keep in mind they’re closed on Mondays and don’t run weekday morning classes, which isn’t great if you want early sessions during holidays.
The instructors were very nice and helpful
We attended a special couple session for our own drawing. Needless to say, the instructors were very nice and helpful to guide us on what we should draw and how we could start from scratch to completion.
There are many moments where we were stucked but they were super helpful enough to guide us to the completion !

2. Art Z Club @ Kota Damansara

Website: https://theartzclub.com/
Address: 3-3, Jalan PJU 5/10, Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara

Art Z Club uses an “Art as a Language” approach to help kids with speech delays or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) process complex emotions non-verbally. This thoughtful method gives children a safe space to express themselves freely.
Older kids can join the “Digital Art for Kids” program using iPads to learn professional illustration skills. And for adults, they offer fun Bring Your Own Beverage (BYOB) painting classes and provide a wine and beer bar at most locations.
You can even use their flexible “ONE Passport” system to access 1 art & craft workshop and 1 beginner digital art trial, with no material fees.
Unfortunately, their adult offerings are mainly limited to one-time painting classes rather than progressive educational courses. Walk-ins are also not guaranteed, so you need to reserve a spot in advance.

We will engage in more classes
My son and sister did a few classes with Ms.Moon and her hubby who are very artistically talented. When I first told my son the class was 3 hours, he asked me, how am I going to sit for 3 hours? Fast forward after the first class: Ma, can you make it 3.5 hours?
He absolutely loved it. We will engage in more classes on our next trip back to KL.
They both had such an incredible time bonding and discovering their talents.
Thank you so much Ms.Moon. 💓

Sense of accomplishment and confidence
We enrolled my 4 yo girl to monthly classes to train her weak wrist. Come to our surprise that she can actually sit still for 2 hours class and follow through teacher’s guidance for the past one year. Sense of accomplishment and confidence built in her every time she brought home a beautiful painting. Thanks to teacher Moon, her patience in guiding my girl and give room for creativity. She also managed well a kanjong mom like me 😄 Recommend to parents who keen to send kids for painting class.

Art Cave operates as a private, home-based studio offering a cozy space to experiment. We joined one of their fabric sculpting sessions recently, and the relaxed vibe made the learning process incredibly soothing.
They specialize heavily in highly textured 3D forms, teaching unique classes in quartz sand texture painting and bas-relief. If you just want to do simple pieces, they offer acrylic paint options using only brushes.
You get to work with no strict time limit, too, so you can paint entirely at your own pace.
Plus, they give a 10% discount for group bookings if you want to host a private party.
But because the setup is a home studio, they operate strictly on a “by appointment only” basis.
Great music and beautiful place
Instructor Nat is so wonderful from the moment we made our booking until we finished our class, fast response and super friendly! Great music and beautiful place make the painting session so soothing and calming, in addition to Nat who is so friendly and patience. She helped to take lots of photos/videos even without us asking for it. Recommend!

The whole painting session was so fun
ArtCave is a beautiful and cozy place to have amazing bonding moments with friends. Four of us are absolute beginners in textured art painting, we were stressed at first, but the great songs, the positive vibes around the space and the serene garden view got us in the mood naturally.. the whole painting session was so fun, relaxing and therapeutic. Thanks Nat for teaching us with patient and inspired us in creating our very first masterpiece. This wonderful experience was truly special ! Will definitely recommend ArtCave to my family and friends !

5. Global Art Subang Jaya SS15

Website: https://malaysia.globalart.world/ss15/
Address: No. 98-1, Jalan SS15/4Br
Contact: 010-827 7798 / [email protected]
Hours: Wednesday-Thursday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Friday, 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM | Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Sunday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Global Art integrates problem-solving abilities and cognitive development into the curriculum. Their core syllabus guides students step-by-step through defined levels for long-term skill progression.
They divide classes into “Core Programs” for foundational drawing and “Enhancement Programs” for exploring mediums like G-Clay. You can also take a dedicated “Cartoon & Comic” course or a “Cultural Art” module to learn about different traditions.
If you want other hands-on activities to supplement this, you might also want to check out some pottery workshops in KL and Selangor. This can give you more ways to express yourself creatively.
A major downside is that these programs are exclusively designed for children and teens. They don’t offer any unstructured hobby sessions or classes for adult learners.
