What to Do in Kebun Che Mah
Hike through the Quartz Ridge Trail
For most people, the main reason why they visit Kebun Che Mah is to go hiking—and we can’t blame them! There are tons of trails present in the lush rainforest of this park, but the one that everyone wants to conquer is the Quartz Ridge Trail.
The Quartz Ridge Trail is the longest quartz formation in the world, or at least the one that’s documented at the time of writing. Before you can revel in this majestic rock formation, however, you must have to conquer a 1.3-kilometre trail that’s moderately challenging.
It isn’t too hard though and even if it is, we guarantee that the reward is much sweeter, as words can’t describe how awe-inspiring the quartz formation is in real life. Furthermore, you can catch glimpses of Kuala Lumpur while you’re here!
Sample some fresh fruits
Since Kebun Che Mah is an actual working farm, you’ll most likely get to sample its fresh fruits during your hike. The fruits that you can try during your visit will of course vary depending on the season, but you’ll typically find exotic kinds like mangosteen, guava, rambutan and papaya.
The main highlight of this farm, however, is the durian, which is infamously known for its strong stench. Trust us though, once you get past the smell, you’ll thank yourself because you’ll be treated to some of the sweetest meat we’ve seen in any fruit!
Kebun Che Mah even holds a durian buffet to make the most out of the 200 durian trees it has scattered around the park. You can contact them on their WhatsApp or contact number if you want to arrange this one-of-a-kind buffet experience.
Camp underneath the stars
If you can’t get enough of the stunning views and the relaxing ambience of Kebun Che Mah, you can choose to camp overnight in the park! This way, you can sleep underneath the stars and enjoy the sounds of nature as they slowly serenade you to sleep.
You can either camp for a full day or an overnight stay, but regardless of which you choose, the park will provide you with everything you need for a comfy experience. This package includes a tent, a VIP spot, a meal, charging stations, board games and more.
Furthermore, you can check out their official website to see a more in-depth description of what you can get from booking a camping trip here.
Capture stunning photos
Throughout your hike in Kebun Che Mah, you’ll come across countless spots that are begging to be photographed. Whether it be lush greenery, picturesque views of mountain ranges, wildlife or anything in between, this park will spoil you with beautiful subjects to take photos of.
You don’t even have to spend your energy hiking just to find these beautiful spots, as all you have to do is look around! Of course, you can’t leave without taking photos of the biggest highlights of this park, which include the aforementioned quartz trail.
There’s also a spot on top of the trail where you’ll find the wooden welcome sign. Taking photos by this sign sort of signifies that you’ve completed the hike so be sure to snap a pic with your friends and family before heading down.
Ride an ATV
If you’re looking for an activity that’s more adrenaline-pumping than hiking, then riding an ATV may be something more up to your speed. Doing this will let you get around much faster and experience the trails in a much more exciting way.
The off road trails in Kebun Che Mah consist of various twists and turns so expect your manoeuvring skills to be challenged! Don’t worry though because these quadbikes aren’t particularly the hardest things to drive and you’ll probably get the hang of it almost instantly.
You can check out their Offroad Activities page on their website to advise the park of your planned ATV rides since this activity requires advanced booking. We also advise you to keep your eyes peeled, as they’re planning on adding an archery range and a zip line ride soon!
Arrange an outdoor dining package
If you’re like us and you love to pair spectacular food with equally fantastic views, then you should arrange an outdoor dining package with Kebun Che Mah! Trust us, no restaurant in the city can match the tranquil ambience and stunning sights that you’ll enjoy here while eating.
What’s great about Kebun Che Mah is that it offers different themed dining packages to help cater to different tastes. For instance, they can arrange a romantic dinner for you and your partner, complete with vintage candlestick holders, comfy pillows and fairy lights.
Meanwhile, if you’re looking for something more laid back, you can avail of their tea party package! Here, you can enjoy freshly made scones, sandwiches and of course, delicious tea drinks—perfect for catching up with your friends.
Dine in the middle of the jungle at Offroad Cafe
Offroad Cafe is Kebun Che Mah’s premiere restaurant. It lets its guests dine in the middle of the jungle while providing unmatched views of lush greeneries and the distant Kuala Lumpur skyline, which is pretty cool to witness at night.
The cafe features a bunch of international delicacies, from steaks to roasted chicken, pasta and more. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for something local, you can also order their nasi lemak, which we highly recommend!
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Malaysian cafe without some freshly made drinks like Milo, black coffee and teh tarik. They also offer specialty drinks like the “Lemon Pudina House Special”, which infuses fresh organic lemon with pudina.
