9 Karaoke Spots in Kuala Lumpur to Unleash Your Inner Diva
To this day, I vividly remember the first time I discovered karaoke and how it permanently altered my brain. It was a family gathering in one of Putrajaya’s karaoke bars and it had neon lights, alcoholic drinks, loudspeakers and a jolly atmosphere since it was one of my aunt’s birthdays.
Fast forward to today and karaoke is still a HUGE part of many celebrations in my family and friends’ lives, so you can say that I’ve been to my fair share of karaoke spots!
This became more evident when I moved to Kuala Lumpur, as I discovered the capital’s impressive selection of karaoke bars. So to share the same excitement and happiness I feel in these places, I’ve listed all my favourite karaoke bars in KL right here!
Loud Speaker 2.0 @ A Quiet Place

Address: Ground Floor, Federal Arcade, 35, Jln Bukit Bintang
Contact details: +60 12-766 7161
Operating hours: Daily from 12:00 PM to 3:00 AM
Cost: $
Loud Speaker is one of the most famous karaoke chains in the country, featuring branches across Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Sri Petaling, Puchong and more. It’s to the point where my friends and I joke about how a Loud Speaker branch is always a short drive away, but I digress.
There are plenty of reasons why they’ve managed to create a successful chain such as this though, one of which is the reasonable prices. It’s not always where you can enjoy unlimited drinks for 3 hours for just RM23 per head!
We also love the overall classy vibe of the karaoke bar, featuring sophisticated and modern decor instead of the usual neon lights in dimly lit rooms.
Pro tip:
If you’re planning on commuting on the way here, we recommend riding the train and dropping off at the Imbi Tram Stop. From there, you just have to descend the station and walk a couple of minutes to reach the karaoke bar.

If you’re visiting with kids, Karaoke Manekineko is one of the best chains to check out around Kuala Lumpur. This particular establishment ditches the party/bar-like appearances in exchange for cheerful and kid-friendly designs—who said karaoke is only for adults?
This spot features three rooms: the standard, family and signature, each varying in size while featuring the same high-tech karaoke machines and cheery ambience. However, the signature room beats the others because it features a pool table for that extra bit of fun!
You can also expect this karaoke spot to have the latest songs in their catalogue because they do a monthly refresh on their songbooks—pretty cool!

If you’re planning on making this place your go-to karaoke spot, we recommend signing up for their membership programs! Members can enjoy special perks such as discounted rates so you can save more money in the long run.

It’s one of the more expensive options in the capital, but it justifies its prices with its consumables, consisting of ala carte meals, beverages and alcoholic drinks. If you’re feeling fancy, you can order a charcuterie board for the group, which includes caviar!
Pro tip:
