Chakuro Yakiniku by Meatpoint brings premium halal Japanese dining to the heart of TTDI. As an extension of the popular steakhouse, Meat Point, this sleek and modern restaurant offers a selection of high-quality meats sourced from Japan and Australia.

While the quality of the meat is consistently praised, some diners have found the side dishes less impressive. Items like the tempura and garlic fried rice fell short of expectations for some, despite the excellent service.
The attentiveness of the staff also elevates the experience. Though the prices lean towards the higher side, the overall atmosphere and offerings give diners a pleasant experience.
Still, the mixed feedback on side dishes suggests that the restaurant shines most in its primary focus: quality meat.

Will definitely visit again
“Came here to celebrate my birthday 🎂 My husband booked a week earlier and we got a private room. There’s AC in each room, so you won’t feel hot from grilling 😉 The wagyu literally melts in your mouth. Their garlic fried rice is nice as well. Oh I also love their green tea, very refreshing and has a bitter tea taste. Service is 10/10 and definitely would visit here again.”

4. Yui Bar & Restaurant
Address: No 24, Lorong Datuk Sulaiman 1
Phone: +60125244514
Business Hours: Tuesday to Sunday – 12 to 11:30 PM
Yui Bar & Restaurant brings a fusion of flavors that offer an adventurous and unique take on Japanese cuisine. The well-crafted dishes balance sweetness and acidity, creating layers of taste.
The Hokkaido Hotate, served with hot shiitake broth, sliced scallops, and egg, stands out as a highlight for many. Additionally, Yui’s butter, served with sourdough, is often praised as one of the best flavored butters, enhancing the meal with a buttery touch.
The truffle fries with butter truffle sauce, fresh sashimi, and juicy prawn spaghetti are other popular choices. Diners frequently note the restaurant’s skill in executing these dishes with precision, from the freshness of the ingredients to the balanced seasoning.
The earl grey panna cotta makes for a refined dessert, adding a light and aromatic finish to the dining experience. However, while many dishes are appreciated, some pairings, like the wasabi sponge with hotate, feel mismatched.
And though Yui aims for a fine-dining ambiance, there are occasional critiques of the lack of finesse in certain dishes. What’s keeping us positive is the quality and service that make it a worthwhile spot to explore.

Satisfying experience
“It was my first time dining at this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is small, but you can see the chefs carefully preparing the food. For starters, we had their signature sourdough, spread with a flavorful and smooth kombu butter, which was quite unique. The boneless lamb shank was braised to perfection, tender and full of flavor, making for a very satisfying dish. The cold somen were infused with the rich aroma of truffle oil and paired with fresh scallops. The final dish, mentaiko risotto, was generously portioned with fresh shrimp and scallops, and the rich mentaiko sauce was delicious. The restaurant was surprised me with a birthday dessert ,Their molten chocolate cake was simply amazing. I hope to try their mushroom soup next time, as it wasn’t available that day! 😄”

Portion is very generous . And their chef’s signature wild mushroom soup is a must try which the chef take 12 hour to prepare .”
